Teaching School Hub
The Flying High Teaching School Hub works closely with national and local partners to deliver national programmes and professional development for schools.
A Pathway for Professional Excellence
Flying High Teaching School Hub is part of a network of 87 centres of excellence for teacher training and development designated by the DfE. We are dedicated to providing high-quality national programmes and professional development to teachers at all stages of their careers. The absolute aim is to impact upon the life chances, well-being and outcomes for pupils within our region.
We work with schools across the East Midlands including the Teaching School Hub’s designated areas: Nottingham, Broxtowe, Rushcliffe, Mansfield and Ashfield, to support every school type and phase, including Nursery, Primary, Secondary, Special and Alternative Provision.

National Programmes
Flying High Teaching School Hub is committed to supporting schools to invest in their workforce in order to grow, recruit, develop and retain the very best teachers, support staff and leaders.
We deliver a professional pathway that is designed to support and bring together practitioners at all stages of their career, from training and the first years of teaching, through to specialist and leadership roles in schools and for the system.
This includes:
- Initial Teacher Training
- Appropriate Body
- Early Career Framework
- Curriculum Hubs
- National Professional Qualifications for Leadership (NPQs)
